Empty café tables on a quiet stone street, with flowers in the window.

Spotting a fake profile

Signs that a profile is not a real member, and what to do when you see one.
Empty picture frames leaning in a row against a wall.

A fake flirt moves too fast and will not stay specific. The compliments arrive before they have read you. The photos look hired. They cannot meet, cannot do a video call, and would rather continue on an app you already use for your real name. That is the shape. Charm does not cancel it.

Stay with one concrete question. What they do on a Tuesday. Which end of the town. A person who is there can answer. A script returns to the flirt and asks you to move. Why it is better to stay on the site is the move. If money follows, romance scams is the name for it.

You can stop without a cross-examination. How to block and report is enough. A pile of perfect photos is not proof of a fake, and it is not proof of a person either. Photos that get a reply is the plainer picture we would rather see.

We will never ask you for a fee to check that someone is real. That check is the age process on your own account, not a payment to a stranger.
